5X12
2004 — 2006
A special project commissioned by Puma for an annual dance music festival held in Miami’s South Beach district, 5X12 (five-by-twelve) was a three volume series of vinyl box sets featuring rare recordings curated from a range of independent music labels. Limited to 1,000 pieces each edition, the box sets housed five 12” records within custom designed sleeves and packaging. From 2004 to 2006, 5X12 editions were hand-delivered during each festival week to a select list of influential DJs, covering the spectrum from underground scenes to marquee clubs and headlining stages.
All records mastered and cut by Salt Mastering and pressed on 150 gram vinyl by Brooklyn Phono.
